A new Omdia survey reveals that despite the ongoing hype around Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI), consumer acceptance of GAI applications remains low in key markets. The survey shows that currently only 10% of consumers in the US, UK, and China regularly use GAI applications. However, 17% of respondents plan to adopt GAI in the near term, which offers encouragement to vendors. Consumer concerns about GAI mainly focus on its potential negative impacts, such as disruption of job functions, fraud, and the spread of misinformation.
